We are facing a global climate crisis – demanding effective, timely and lasting action for our people, for the planet, and for the future.
Now, more than ever, businesses and organisations are committed to making a real and measurable difference. They are taking steps to actively manage their own unavoidable emissions – leading the fight against climate change by reducing their impacts while simultaneously enhancing and sustaining local environments and communities.
At the forefront of this global movement, NZ Forest Restoration is focused on targeted, transparent, and verified nature-based solutions, generating genuine carbon removals.
Designed to the highest international standards and developed in concert with local scientists, experts, and communities, our projects represent a permanent and large-scale response to the immediate needs of the climate crisis.
NZ Forest Restoration’s programme is also developed to deliver transformational value to local communities – creating jobs and stimulating climate investment – while supporting increased biodiversity, improvements in soil and water quality, and promoting climate resilience.

Projects
Shaping tomorrow's forests
NZ Forest Restoration is working with a range of leading experts to introduce an exciting range of nature-based solutions.
Each project is distinct in character – protecting existing forests and restoring them to biodiverse native environments. However, each project is built on the same integral values, providing high quality, transparent, verified and genuine nature-based carbon removals. The establishment of new forests that will ultimately become native rapidly and efficiently stores carbon, all while working with local indigenous people on projects that protect their forest estates and provide new sources of revenue and employment.

Project One
Restore Improved Forest Management
Managing exotic plantation forests – destined for logging – and restoring them to permanent, biodiversity-rich, indigenous forests.
