About
Restoring our future. From here.
Approach
Nature-based solutions
NZ Forest Restoration has been established to provide effective, large scale, nature-based solutions.
We aim to address the urgent needs of climate change, while establishing a positive, permanent environmental legacy.
To achieve our mission, we work with local forest owners and leading organisations who buy high quality carbon units to offset their emissions.
Highly credible programme:
- Designed from the ground up to be Verra certified under the Core Carbon Principles
- Working closely with leading audit groups, industry advisors and local scientists
- Meeting the needs of local and international customers.
Our projects create carbon income to support the investment in tailored management programmes. They also contribute valuable income to local landowners and their regional economies. And greater results for the environment and the community – underpinning our long-term environmental commitments.
Project Management
Sector leading project management
At the heart of our project is a commitment to the highest quality project management.
Nateva has drawn on the best available science and technology, as well as a broad range of technical expertise to manage NZ Forest Restoration’s projects. This incorporates both traditional knowledge and the latest technology.

- Working in the sector for more than 16 years
- Manages more than 80,000 hectares of forest land across New Zealand
- Projects have removed over 34 million tonnes of carbon.
